Why is it we always want whats not good for us?

Whether it be food or in relationships we always seem to crave the things most unhealthy for us. Now the really bad thing about this all is, We can see when other people are making the wrong choices but can never spot it in ourselves or just don't really want to. I seem to be making the wrong choices alot lately and can't seem to stop myself. Its like all self control flies out the window and I'm watching a carwreck in slow motion. I wanna stop myself but can't really seem too.

Today Ford announced it is letting 20% of its work force go. I for one believe in buying american products--whether its cars or just an everyday item for my home. Americans seem to want to be good patriots but then they go to buy a car and they purchase foreign cars. This I do not get. I cannot as an american sit back and watch the "big 3" american auto makers go under, watch our american brothers n sisters lose their jobs, and have foreign companies get richer. I have never owned anything but american cars. I really do not give a shit that many of the foreign cars are made here. The bottom line is the foreign companies are still the ones getting rich. You can all bitch and complain that our economy sucks---But buying your foreign shit isn't helping. You wanna be american??? Then step up to the fuckin plate and support all things american and quit being a patriot only when it suits you.
